Background
Sepang is the youngest district for the state of Selangor Darul Ehsan.
It is located at the south of Selangor and borders the districts of Hulu
Langat, Kuala Langat and Petaling. The District of Sepang also borders
Bandar Baru Nilai, Negeri Sembilan. Seen from the air, the district
is shaped like the stem of a “kris”, extending to the south from the
University Putra Malaysia (UPM) with the Kuala Lumpur-Seremban
Highway on the east, to the villages of Sungai Buah/Bukit Unggul. On
the west is the district of Kuala Langat, while the district of Petaling is
a neighbour on the north. On the south, the district of Sepang opens
up facing the Straits of Malacca.
